April Valley Foundation raises awareness and improves the mental health in Asian American communities.
Our mission is to build better lives for the millions of Asian American affected by mental illness. Whether it’s raising awareness or collaborating with our community, we know racial, economic, and gender justice are at the heart of any solution to any systemic problem. We are working together to create a healthier, safer world.
Introducing our Thesis for the Future
We are excited to introduce April Valley Foundation’s new strategic framework: Thesis for the Future
Our values of compassion, resilience, empowerment, and community are the heart of our organization, guiding our work daily and driving our vision for a future where every Asian American can thrive.
Together, we’re building a supportive, inclusive society where Asian American communities flourish in mental health, safety, and well-being, and where systems are grounded in understanding, respect, and justice.
WE ACTIVATE
We activate and amplify the voices, values, and impact of our community partners, enabling them to organize, advocate for policy changes, shift cultural narratives, and build powerful stories through funding and strategic messaging.
WE ALLOCATE
We allocate funds through strategic grant-making to support organizations that conduct essential on-the-ground work. By directing resources to these impactful non-profits, we enable them to enhance their programs, drive meaningful change, and effectively address the needs of the communities they serve.
WE COLLABORATE
Activism flourishes within a broader collaborative community. Our approach goes beyond individual efforts to build partnerships and networks, amplifying our impact and creating a stronger, more supportive environment. By working together, we enhance our collective ability to improve our own communities and drive change on a larger scale.
